CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA, October 31, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The UFA Agricultural Community Foundation (UFA Foundation) is thrilled to announce the recipients of its 2025 Rural Communities (RC) Grant Program. Five exceptional organizations will receive a combined $100,000 for impactful capital projects that will enrich education, recreation and culture in agricultural communities.

Now in its second year under the newly established UFA Foundation, the RC Grant Program continues to build on the success of its predecessor, the UFA Rural Communities Foundation. To date, $700,000 has been awarded through both RC Grant Programs, supporting capital projects that strengthen the fabric of rural life.

“We are thrilled to support these five outstanding projects that reflect the heart and spirit of agricultural communities,” said Kimberly MacDonald, Sr. Manager Community Impact. “Each initiative demonstrates the power of community and the importance of investing in spaces where people come together to learn, connect and celebrate the rural way of life.”

The 2025 RC Grant recipients are:
• Pincher Creek Curling Club – $40,000 towards a new curling facility that will serve generations of curlers and community members.
• Buffalo Coulee Community Club – $20,000 for roof repairs to preserve a cherished gathering space.
• Radway Agricultural Society – $20,000 for Agri-Centre roof repairs, ensuring continued access to a vital agricultural hub.
• Fundraising Society of the Rolling Hills School – $10,000 to support the construction of an Agricultural Academy Barn, fostering hands-on learning for youth.
• Agriculture Charter School Society (Strathmore area) – $10,000 towards building a barn to enhance the school’s agriculture-focused curriculum.

“These grants are more than just financial support, they’re a catalyst for connection,” said Kevin Hoppins, Advisory Board Chair of the UFA Foundation. “As someone deeply rooted in rural Alberta, I’ve seen firsthand how investments in local projects create ripple effects of pride, opportunity and community spirit. We’re proud to support these initiatives and the passionate people who make them happen.”
