Ukraine Grain, Oilseed Harvest Expected to Dip 5 Percent

(MENAFN) Ukraine’s combined grain and oilseed harvest is expected to fall by 5% in the 2025–2026 marketing year, reaching approximately 73.4 million tons, according to a report released Wednesday by the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB).

The forecast anticipates a 3% decline in grain production to 54.6 million tons, while oilseed output is set to contract by a sharper 11%, falling to 18.8 million tons.

The UCAB report breaks down the expected yields by crop: corn production is forecast at 26.7 million tons, wheat at 21 million tons, and sunflower seeds at 10.1 million tons.

For context, Ukraine exported 46.7 million tons of grain and oilseeds during the 2024–2025 marketing year, which ended June 30, according to the Ukrainian Grain Association. That figure marked a steep drop from the 57.5 million tons shipped the previous season.
