Dimitra opens Connected Farmer to individual farmers and cooperatives

Dimitra has launched web access to its Connected Farmer platform in two free-to-start editions for individual farmers and cooperatives. The move gives farmers direct access to digital farm records, while keeping the company’s existing work with governments, enterprises and cooperatives across more than 30 countries.

The details: - Community Edition gives an individual farmer free access with no upfront software subscription. - Farmers can register their farm, map fields, record crops and season activities, and build a digital farm history they keep. - Paid plans launch October 1 and will add more farms, additional deforestation checks, higher satellite and AI reporting limits, land suitability tools, crop anomaly detection and more. - Cooperative Edition also starts free. - Cooperatives can register and manage members and farms, send surveys across their network, and publish a recommended crop calendar. - Every member keeps the farmer-level tools available in Community Edition. - Paid plans for larger networks launch October 1 and will add more farm capacity and higher reporting limits for crop progression, land suitability, anomaly detection, satellite reports and more. - Connected Farmer supports more than 50 commodities, including coffee, cocoa, palm oil, rubber, soy and avocado. - Coffee and cocoa have the most developed workflows and reporting. - Crop-specific tools for additional commodities will roll out over time. - Dimitra says farmer data remains farmer data and cooperative operational data remains cooperative data. - Access between a farmer and an organization is granted by permission, not by default.
